Business and Systems Analyst

The Business and Systems Analyst will assist with the design specifications for system implementations, integration, enhancement and reports for MES, CMMS/EAM, Transportation, Inventory, etc.  in order to make the process more efficient and effective.  The Business and Systems Analyst will work with organization subject matter experts in order to fully understand and specify systems and reporting needs.  The analyst will review, analyze and evaluate user needs as necessary to create solutions that support business strategies and communicate results. The analyst will document system requirements, define scope and objectives, and create system specifications that, upon management signoff, will be used for functional design and implementation.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

       Evaluate business processes.

       Gather, review and analyze system and data requirements.

       Create business process flows.

       Define and validate business systems and reporting solutions and ensure solutions meet business needs, goals, and objectives.

       Develop Gap analysis and documentation.

       Analyze requirements for automation, changes or reporting.

       Evaluate the impact of change.

       Develop design specifications.

       Develop business requirements.

       Develop functional design documentation.

       Develop technical requirement document.

       Assist with conceptual prototypes.

       Assist with training materials and test plans

       Assist with quality and solution testing.

       Monitor to ensure the solution has fulfilled the requirements and recommend modifications as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

       Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or related field.

       Aptitude for business processes, technical design and specifications.

       Five or more years' experience as a business analyst in a manufacturing environment preferred

       Demonstrates planning and organizational skills with ability to develop and execute plan and achieve goals

       Demonstrates analytical and conceptual thinking skills

       Manages multiple activities simultaneously with minimal direction, while relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to move about facility and spend time in mill environment.  

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Circumstances may require meetings throughout the facility, including the mill and offsite. Some travel may be required. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
