Transportation Manager

Manages transportation of inbound raw material and outbound finish product through the life of the project. Will be owner of Transportation Management System (TMS). Functions as senior level support for Commercial department. These tasks will be accomplished by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages daily transportation operations of inbound raw material and outbound finished product through truck, rail, and/or barge
• Manages logistics projects that require ongoing oversight for both external and internal customers.
• Assist with implementation of new systems, i.e. Transportation Management System
• Prepare work instructions and provide employee training on new systems and processes
• Gathers and reports data on plan vs. actual, and cost analyses
• Maintains logistics databases and project files.
• Performs additional related duties as requested.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Associate's degree in Business, Finance, or Marketing or equivalent experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to move about facility and spend time in mill environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Circumstances may require meetings throughout the facility, including the mill and offsite. Some limited travel may be required. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
